Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • CPR (chest compressions) starts within 21 minutes of the heart stopping.
  • You are not obviously pregnant.
  • No medical reasons that prevent using the LUCAS 3 device, a mechanical chest compression machine.
  • The emergency doctor does not think CPR is no longer helpful.
