Imaging test for prostate cancer

This trial studies a new imaging agent called RAX301, which may help doctors see prostate cancer more clearly during a PET/CT scan. It is being tested in two groups of men: those scheduled for prostate removal surgery and those with a rising PSA after previous treatment.

Who can take part

  • Men aged 18 or older
  • Diagnosed with prostate cancer
  • For the surgery group: scheduled to have radical prostatectomy (removal of the prostate) and pelvic lymph node dissection
  • For the surgery group: prostate cancer is considered unfavorable intermediate, high-risk, or very high-risk
  • For the recurrence group: rising PSA levels after radical prostatectomy or after radiation therapy
  • Good kidney function (creatinine clearance at least 50 mL/min)
  • Able to undergo PET/CT imaging
  • No prior treatment with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) or other neoadjuvant therapy for the surgery group
