  • You must be 18 to 60 years old.
  • You must have cirrhosis of the liver, no matter the cause.
  • You must be eligible for a liver transplant and listed for one.
  • You must not have acute liver failure without cirrhosis or other transplant contraindications.
  • You must not have conditions like hepatopulmonary syndrome or refractory ascites that require exceptional MELD scores.
