Compression stockings for leg veins during long flights after surgery
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests whether wearing a certain type of compression stocking during a long economy-class flight helps prevent veins in the legs from widening after plastic surgery. If you are planning such a trip, the study may help you recover more safely and comfortably.

This study looks at how different seating classes (business/first vs. economy) and wearing compression stockings on long flights affect leg vein swelling after cosmetic surgery. Participants will have an ultrasound to check the veins before and after the flight.
This study looks at how flying in premium versus economy class affects the size of a leg vein (the popliteal vein) after a long flight, which may help understand blood clot risk during travel. It compares people who fly in either cabin class before having an aesthetic surgery.
This study measures the size of a vein in your leg before, during, and after a long flight to Bogota. It aims to understand how flying affects that vein, which may help prevent blood clots. You must be flying to Bogota for at least 4 hours and be willing to have several vein ultrasounds.
This study tests if wearing compression stockings after surgery can help prevent blood clots in people who already need to take blood thinners for an extended period. The stockings are used in addition to the blood thinners.
This study looks at how patients who have had vein surgery learn about anti-embolic stockings (special tight stockings that help prevent blood clots). It may help improve how information is given to patients after surgery.
This trial studies whether a specific type of compression helps reduce swelling in the leg after a bypass surgery to improve blood flow. It may help people manage “edema” (fluid-related swelling) while healing after revascularization.
