Eye drops for wet age-related macular degeneration

Wet Age Related Macular Degeneration

Part of Eyes & vision clinical trials.

This trial tests a new eye drop called NT-101 for people with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of vision loss. The goal is to see if the drops can improve vision and reduce fluid in the eye, possibly as a less invasive alternative to injections.

Who can take part

  • You are 50 years of age or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with 'wet' age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and the trial doctor confirms that the condition affects the central part of your vision (the macula).
  • Your vision in the study eye is within a certain range (between roughly 20/80 and 20/200 on a standard eye chart). This vision loss is mainly due to wet AMD.
  • You have either never had anti-VEGF injections (like Lucentis, Avastin, Eylea, or Vabysmo) in the study eye, or you have stopped them for a required time before starting the trial.
  • You are able to put eye drops in your own eye (or have a caregiver do it) and are willing to follow the study schedule.
  • You agree to use effective birth control (if you can have children) and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
