Personalized treatment to prevent liver cancer recurrence
Part of Cancer, Digestive system clinical trials.
This study uses a 3D-printed model of your liver tumor to help doctors choose treatment that may prevent the cancer from coming back after surgery. The model predicts how your tumor might respond, so you get the most effective therapy.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver cancer.
- You are generally active and able to take care of yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- Your tumor has features that make it more likely to come back, like being large, multiple, invading blood vessels, or poorly differentiated.
- You have never had systemic therapy (drugs that go through the bloodstream) for liver cancer.
- Your liver function is not severely impaired (Child-Pugh class A or B).

This study is looking at people with advanced liver cancer (HCC) that cannot be removed by surgery. Researchers want to see if certain markers in your blood or tumor can help predict how well you respond to a combination of chemotherapy delivered directly to the liver and immunotherapy. If you join, you will receive the planned treatment and provide additional blood and tissue samples for analysis.
This study checks whether a blood test (circulating tumor DNA) can help predict if hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) will return after curative treatment like surgery or ablation. If it works, it may help doctors plan closer follow-up or earlier treatment if recurrence risk is higher.
This trial uses a test on your tumor (an 'organoid') to pick which medicines might work best for you after surgery. The goal is to lower the chance of your liver cancer coming back.
This trial tests new treatment plans for people with advanced liver cancer that has worsened after initial therapy. The goal is to find more effective, personalized options based on how your cancer responds.
This trial uses a computer model to predict if your liver cancer might come back aggressively after surgery. If you are at high risk, you may receive additional treatment before surgery to lower that risk.
This study looks at blood and tissue samples from people with liver cancer to find markers that can predict how well treatment works and whether the cancer might come back. It may help doctors personalize treatment and follow-up care.
