This study tests whether sotagliflozin (a pill that helps control blood sugar and protects the kidneys) can slow down kidney function decline in people with type 1 diabetes and diabetic kidney disease. You may qualify if you have had type 1 diabetes for at least 8 years, have moderate kidney damage, and are on standard treatments.
