Kidney biopsy study for people with diabetic kidney disease

Who can take part

  • You have diabetes type 1 or type 2, and it must meet standard ADA diabetes criteria
  • You are an adult and can give informed consent (or have a process to consent, if applicable)
  • You must be able and willing to fully follow study visits and instructions at a study site
  • You must have a kidney biopsy planned for medical reasons by your kidney doctor
  • You do not have kidney failure requiring long-term dialysis or a kidney transplant
