Comparing two airway devices in children having orthopedic surgery
This trial compares two types of breathing tubes (I-gel and Ambu AuraGain) used during anesthesia to see which one causes less air to enter the stomach. It is for children ages 2-12 having planned orthopedic surgery.

This trial compares two devices used to help children breathe during surgery (LarySeal Pro and Ambu AuraGain). It measures how much air gets into the stomach, which can cause discomfort. It is for children aged 6–12 having short elective surgeries (1 hour or less).

Mask anesthesia with gentle throat pressure to prevent stomach air
This trial studies a way to hold gentle pressure near the throat during mask anesthesia (with or without a breathing tube) to reduce air going into the stomach. It may help lower the chance of “stomach insufflation” during elective surgery in young children.
