Who can take part
- Your child is between 6 and 12 years old
- Your child is having scheduled (not emergency) surgery that lasts 1 hour or less
- Your child is generally healthy (ASA I or II, meaning no serious medical conditions)
- Your child has a normal airway exam (Mallampati score I or II)
- Your child does not have a cold, flu, asthma, or stomach reflux problems
- Your child has no known heart or bleeding disorders
