Ventilator settings to protect lungs during high-risk surgery
This study compares two ways of setting the ventilator during surgery to reduce lung complications. Researchers will test whether using a lower 'driving pressure' (a setting on the breathing machine) helps protect the lungs better than usual care. It is for adults having high-risk surgeries under general anesthesia with a breathing tube.
