This trial tests a surgery to move a piece of the conjunctiva (the clear tissue covering the white of the eye) to treat a primary pterygium, which is a growth on the eye's surface that extends onto the cornea. It may help prevent the growth from returning and improve comfort and vision.

This trial compares how the curve of your cornea (which affects vision) changes before and after surgery to remove a pterygium—a fleshy growth on the eye—and repair the area with your own tissue. It is for adults with moderate to advanced pterygium that has already caused astigmatism.
