Total vs. partial Whipple for high-risk pancreatic cancer
This trial compares removing the entire pancreas (total pancreatectomy) versus removing only the head (standard Whipple) for certain cancers of the pancreas, bile duct, or ampulla. It is for people whose surgeon thinks the pancreas connection after surgery is likely to leak, which can cause serious complications.

New drug combo for advanced pancreatic cancer
