Testing a fluid drainage method to detect leg pressure problems
This study looks at a special drainage measurement (“tissue ultrafiltration”) to better detect and treat acute compartment syndrome, a dangerous increase in pressure in the leg after major injury. It may help doctors identify who needs urgent treatment and improve outcomes after severe leg fractures or crush injuries.

Antibiotic-coated nail to help prevent infection
This trial studies a special nail for certain broken shin bones to lower the chance of infection after surgery. If you qualify, the study team will help you receive the antibiotic-coated nail and will follow you closely for about a year.
