Recruiting studies
- NCT07277946Recruiting
Testing a new mesh fixation system for laparoscopic hernia repair
This study is testing a new system (ECLIPSIUM) for fixing mesh during laparoscopic hernia repair. It aims to see if the system is safe and works well for people with a single midline hernia (ventral, umbilical, or incisional) that is small to medium size (1-5 cm). If you qualify, the study will help doctors repair your hernia with a special mesh that may reduce complications.

Cytokine response after hernia repair surgery
This study looks at how the body's immune system (cytokines) responds to a specific type of hernia repair called open retromuscular ventral hernia repair. It may help patients understand inflammation after surgery.
Chicago, IllinoisAges 18 years+ - NCT06306976Enrolling by invitation
Shear-wave test before hernia surgery
This trial uses a special ultrasound (shear-wave elastography) to measure tissue stiffness before and after hernia repair. It aims to see if this test can predict complications and help choose the best surgical approach.

Common questions
- Are there clinical trials for ventral hernia repair?
- Yes. Clin2 currently lists 27 recruiting ventral hernia repair studies from the U.S. registry, each rewritten for real people, not researchers, so you can see what it’s testing and who it’s for.
- How do I know if I qualify for a ventral hernia repair trial?
- Each study lists its eligibility criteria — rules about age, diagnosis, and prior treatments. On every Clin2 trial page we explain these in words written for real people and offer a short, optional pre-screen for a fit read. The study team makes the final decision.
- Does it cost anything to join a ventral hernia repair trial?
- Using Clin2 is always free. Many trials cover the cost of the study treatment and related visits; some reimburse travel. The study team explains exactly what’s covered before you decide.
