Testing tranexamic acid to reduce bleeding after spine fusion
This trial studies whether a single dose or multiple doses of tranexamic acid (TXA) can reduce the chance you need a blood transfusion after spine fusion surgery. It also compares two different ways TXA may be given (by mouth and through a vein) to see which approach works best and is safe.

Bedside test for bleeding prevention drug in heart surgery
This study tests a quick bedside measurement of how well the drug tranexamic acid works to prevent bleeding during heart surgery. It may help doctors give the right dose to reduce blood loss.

This study tests whether a medication called tranexamic acid can safely reduce blood loss during surgery to straighten the spine in teenagers with idiopathic scoliosis (a curved spine with no known cause). The goal is to help patients need fewer blood transfusions and recover better.
