Who can take part
- You are between 10 and 18 years old
- You have idiopathic scoliosis (curved spine) that needs surgical correction using posterior spinal fusion (fusing bones in the back of the spine)
- You are in good overall health (ASA physical status I or II—meaning no serious heart, lung, or other organ problems)
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or history of blood clots
- You do not have epilepsy or a history of seizures
- Your kidneys work normally (estimated glomerular filtration rate ≥ 60)
