Who can take part
- You have known or suspected esophageal cancer or cancer at the stomach-esophagus junction
- You have Barrett’s esophagus (a change in the lining often linked to long-term reflux)
- You are being treated for symptoms of acid reflux (GERD)
- You have achalasia or a hiatal hernia
- You must be willing to have extra biopsies taken only if blood tests are already being done for your care
- Your blood clotting and blood counts must meet study thresholds if extra biopsies are planned
