Reduce breathing and other problems from remifentanil during surgery

Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 70 years old
  • Be scheduled for an elective (planned) surgery
  • Your overall health should be mild to moderate (ASA class 1 to 3)
  • No history of neurologic (brain/nervous system) disorders or mental health disorders
  • No history of serious trouble or allergy from opioid pain medicines like remifentanil
  • No history of drug abuse, and your lung and heart problems must be controlled (not “uncontrolled”)
