  • You have chronic kidney disease, based on blood test results or urine protein levels
  • You must be willing and able to give informed consent
  • You must not be on dialysis that cleans blood (hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis)
  • You must not have had a kidney transplant
  • You must not be pregnant or nursing
