Who can take part
- You’re being evaluated for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or high-grade myelodysplastic syndrome (high-risk MDS).
- Your bone marrow test shows more than 10% blasts (immature blood cells).
- You haven’t had chemo or similar cancer-killing treatment for AML/high-risk MDS in the last 3 months (except hydroxyurea or Revlimid).
- You haven’t had a stem cell transplant from a different person (allogeneic transplant) for this disease.
- You must be at least 18 and able to sign consent and participate safely.
- You don’t have other serious illnesses or major decision-making limits that would block consent or treatment.
