  • You have end-stage cirrhosis (severe scarring of the liver).
  • You are currently on the waiting list for a liver transplant at Fondazione IRCCS Cà Granda—Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan.
  • You do not have a known diagnosis of diabetes.
  • You do not have cystic fibrosis.
  • You are not pregnant.
