  • You have a blockage or closed-off deep vein in the thigh, pelvis, or lower belly area
  • The blockage is in a specific vein, such as the femoral, iliac, or inferior vena cava
  • You can take blood-thinning medicines (anticoagulants) without having a bad reaction
  • Your expected lifespan is at least 1 year
