Who can take part

  • You have pancreatic cancer that has spread (metastatic PDAC), confirmed by scan and/or biopsy
  • You are starting first-line (initial) treatment with FOLFIRINOX or gemcitabine plus a similar drug (GP), possibly as part of a study
  • You are age 18 or older and can give informed consent
  • Your overall health is good enough for treatment (ECOG score 0–1) and you’re expected to live more than 90 days
  • You have measurable cancer on imaging and a biopsy site that a doctor can safely reach with a needle
  • You can lie flat for more than 60 minutes, and your organs are working well enough for the planned treatment
