Who can take part

  • You are scheduled to have surgery under general anesthesia (you will be asleep).
  • You are willing to sign consent to join the study.
  • You do not have an injury to your neck bones (cervical spine injury).
  • You do not have unstable bones at the top of your neck (atlanto-axial instability).
  • You do not have conditions that could raise pressure in your brain (increased intracranial pressure).
