This study creates a DNA bank and a French database for babies and children with certain types of congenital heart defects, to better understand genetic causes. You’ll be asked to have a blood test and share consent, even though care can continue as usual at the study hospital.

Who can take part
- Your child has an ultrasound (echocardiogram) diagnosis of a congenital heart defect in a specific classification called Houyel and Bonnet
- You can have the required blood test as part of standard evaluation
- Your child receives medical care at AP-HM Timone Hospital in Marseille (pediatric and congenital cardiology unit)
- You (or your child’s parent/guardian) can understand and sign the consent form
- You’re not in an emergency situation, and you (and your child) are not currently pregnant
