  • You are age 18 or older
  • Your cut is treated within 18 hours of the injury
  • The emergency room doctor (or their trainee) repairs the cut
  • Your cut is clean and simple, with no heavy contamination
  • It does not involve tendons, muscles, deep layers, joints, or similar structures
