DEFT hand control test for people with arm amputations

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have a hand, forearm, or arm amputation
  • You can read, understand, and sign the study consent form
  • You can take part in all steps, including implanting the device, testing it, and later removing it
  • You can communicate in English without an interpreter
  • Your overall and “phantom” pain (pain felt in the missing limb) is well-controlled and not disabling
