Who can take part

  • You have a single transradial or wrist-joint amputation (one arm), not both arms.
  • You can independently and voluntarily move the muscles in the front and back of your forearm area.
  • Your amputation has been there for more than 1 year at the time of implant surgery.
  • You are between ages 22 and 70, and can follow study instructions in English.
  • You can understand the study and pass a psychological (mental health) and social assessment.
  • You must not have certain health risks or implanted devices (like pacemakers or deep brain stimulators).

This trial tests a new approach for rehabilitation after an upper-limb amputation to help improve your ability to intentionally control a prosthetic and regain a sense of position (“proprioception”).
