Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 75 years old
  • You have diabetes (type 1 or type 2) or prediabetes based on blood sugar test results
  • Your blood sugar meets specific thresholds on fasting and/or 2-hour glucose testing (oral glucose test)
  • You are not currently pregnant and don’t have certain acute illnesses (like a current infection or fever)
  • You can do study tests, including possible MRI scans, if you have no MRI-blocking implants or severe claustrophobia
