Who can take part
- Your child is between 3 months and 18 years old
- They have cough and/or trouble breathing, plus signs of pneumonia (fast breathing or abnormal lung sounds)
- They have fever and a chest X-ray that doctors read as pneumonia
- They do NOT have danger signs like severe trouble breathing, shock, or fluid/pus around the lung
- They have no known severe allergic reaction to penicillin or amoxicillin, and no serious past skin reactions from amoxicillin
- They have not taken amoxicillin in the last month, and are not being admitted for another urgent problem
