Who can take part
- Your esophageal cancer diagnosis came from an endoscopy sample (ER) and was labeled as submucosal or high-risk mucosal adenocarcinoma by GI pathology experts
- You have signed the study consent form
- Your prior history does not include high-risk mucosal cancer or cancer that had reached at least the submucosal layer (≥T1sm)
- No signs are found that the cancer has spread (no lymph node or distant metastasis) on EUS, neck ultrasound, and CT scans done about 6 weeks after the endoscopy
- The cancer was completely removed at the time of endoscopy (no positive deep margin, called R1)
