Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 90 years old
- You have Barrett's esophagus (a change in the lining of your esophagus) that is at least 1 centimeter long
- You are scheduled for an upper endoscopy (a scope to look at your esophagus) for a medical reason
- You have not had previous treatments for Barrett's esophagus that use heat or light (like radiofrequency ablation or cryotherapy)
- You are not on blood thinners that cannot be stopped for 3 to 5 days before the study procedure
