Who can take part
- Your head and neck cancer must be proven by biopsy to have come back
- The tumor is in an early-to-mid stage (about T1 to T3), not T4
- Your doctor must be able to place the brachytherapy treatment based on the tumor’s exact location and shape
- Cancer in nearby lymph nodes is limited: no nodes (cN0/pN0) or only a small amount of spread, and it must not invade the lymph node capsule
- You must have had radiation before (at least 50 Gy), and it must be finished more than 6 months ago
