Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy
  • Your seizure/muscle jerks started between ages 10 and 25
  • Your early seizures are mainly early-morning jerks of the arms (or only those jerks)
  • Your EEG shows generalized spike or polyspike-and-wave patterns, with a normal overall background
  • You are currently age 10 to 40
  • Your jerks are not only caused by taking carbamazepine or lamotrigine
