Who can take part
- You have had C. difficile come back at least two times, with confirmed positive tests and symptoms that returned within about 2 to 8 weeks after the last positive test.
- You tried standard antibiotic treatment with metronidazole and/or vancomycin by mouth, but it did not work for you.
- You have had a severe episode that sent you to the hospital and did not improve with standard antibiotic treatment.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You should not have severe stomach/colon swelling that puts you at risk of a colon tear (perforation).
