Who can take part
- You have kidney cancer that is metastatic or locally advanced and cannot be removed with surgery
- During your current treatment, you’ve had at least moderate mouth sores (mucositis) noted by the study grading
- You are 18 years or older
- A biopsy has confirmed your kidney cancer type
- Your daily functioning is fairly good (Karnofsky score 60% or higher)
- You are willing to follow all study visits and instructions
