Testing a special PET scan for brain tumor activity

Who can take part

  • You are an adult (older than 18) with a known or suspected brain tumor.
  • Your brain MRI must show a tumor area likely to be cancerous and larger than 10 mL.
  • You must be well enough to participate (Karnofsky score over 60 or ECOG less than 3).
  • You must be able to give informed consent (or have a legally authorized representative sign if needed).
  • You must be planning treatment for the brain tumor or have had treatment already.
  • You can safely have PET and MRI scans, including the FMISO medicine and IV contrast if needed.
