This study tests how changing your daily sleep and meal timing affects your energy use, hunger, and related body processes. You may be asked to follow a sleep/meal schedule and complete questionnaires and assessments (including an MRI scan).

Who can take part

  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be between 20 and 34.9
  • On average, you sleep at least 7 hours per night during a 2-week screening
  • You eat within 1 hour after waking at least 5 days per week
  • Your sleep usually reaches its midpoint at 4 AM or earlier
  • You cannot do daytime naps during the screening
  • You must be able to have MRI scans and have safe blood test results (hematocrit 30% or higher)
