Collecting pleural tissue samples to study mesothelioma markers

Mesothelioma

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This study collects tissue samples (from the lining around the lung) from adults with malignant pleural mesothelioma. Researchers will use these samples to check whether certain test markers can predict how the disease may behave, which could guide treatment decisions in the future.

Biopsy study to learn about mesothelioma and related cancers

This study collects tissue samples (biopsies) and health information to better understand malignant mesothelioma and certain related solid tumors that may produce a protein called mesothelin. It may help future research and treatments, and you can only join if your diagnosis is confirmed and it’s safe for you to have the tissue taken.

Durvalumab and tremelimumab before surgery for mesothelioma

This Phase 1/2 study tests the immune medicines durvalumab and tremelimumab, with or without chemotherapy, given before surgery for mesothelioma. It aims to shrink the tumor and improve safety and outcomes so more patients can have their cancer fully removed.

Studying tumor biology in malignant pleural mesothelioma

This study collects and analyzes tumor samples from patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma (a cancer of the lung lining caused by asbestos exposure) to better understand the disease and find new treatment approaches. Researchers will examine your tumor at the molecular level to identify patterns that might help predict treatment outcomes.
