Who can take part

  • Your child is 7–12 years old and still pre-pubertal (Tanner stage 1–2)
  • A parent and the child can understand and complete English study questionnaires (consent/assent needed)
  • Your child has an ADHD diagnosis based on a structured parent interview and rating scales
  • Your child also has conduct problems or severe oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)
  • Your child has not taken ADHD stimulants before, and must be off ADHD medicine for 2 weeks before starting (non-stimulant may be allowed if stopped 2 weeks)
