Testing T89 to prevent chest pain during stable angina

Who can take part

  • Be age 18–90 and agree to sign consent and follow study rules.
  • Have stable angina: chest pain triggered by physical effort and relieved by rest or nitroglycerin under the study plan.
  • Have documented coronary artery disease from history, heart scans/stress testing, or heart imaging showing narrowed arteries.
  • Complete medication adjustments before starting: usually stop other angina medicines, and keep only one type of beta blocker or one allowed calcium channel blocker.
  • Track angina episodes for the study and have two positive exercise heart tests (Bruce protocol) with similar exercise times.
