- You have hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in your blood but have a negative HBeAg test
- You have tested positive for the antibody to HBeAg (anti-HBe)
- You’ve been taking one hepatitis B antiviral medicine steadily for at least 18 months
- Your hepatitis B viral load (HBV DNA) has been undetectable on three blood tests, each at least 6 months apart
