Who can take part
- You are 45 to 95 years old and have age-related cataracts in one or both eyes.
- Your eye doctor has recommended cataract surgery with ultrasound removal and placement of a back-of-eye lens (posterior IOL).
- You need a specific amount of farsighted/near-sighted correction (spherical power between about +6 and +30, or +10 to +25 depending on the lens group).
- Your pupil dilation is large enough before surgery (about 5.5 mm or more; at least 7.0 mm in some lens groups).
- You have astigmatism of at least 1.0 diopter.
- You have not had prior eye surgery or major eye trauma, and you do not have certain eye/inflammation or severe/unstable health conditions.
