This study uses a special camera to look at solid tumors from inside the body during an operation. It tests whether “live” tumor imaging (using a medicine called fluorescein) can be safely performed in people with certain solid cancers.

Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be well enough for daily activities (ECOG 0 to 2)
  • Have a solid tumor that can be seen during surgery and requires tumor removal (surgical resection) in the operating room
  • Have one of these cancer types: stomach, pancreatic, liver/bile duct, colon/rectal, sarcoma, brain, or breast (sometimes involving underarm lymph nodes) and the tumor can be primary or spread
  • Plan to have a skin test before surgery to check if you react to fluorescein, and you must sign consent
  • Be able and willing to follow the study plan, including having surgery as standard care
