Lung cancer screening trial using tumor and blood test results

Previously Treated Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This trial helps sort people with previously treated lung cancer into the best next treatment options by using new tumor tissue (and sometimes blood) test results. It may help you get matched to therapies based on features like PD-L1 and other biomarkers.

Who can take part

  • You have non-small cell lung cancer (any subtype) proven by a biopsy or fine-needle sample
  • Your cancer is stage IV or has come back (recurrent)
  • You must be able to provide enough tumor tissue for testing (at least 20% tumor cells and enough tumor volume)
  • You must share your tumor sample with Foundation Medicine for biomarker tests, and agree to keep leftover tissue for future research
  • You must be 18 or older and able to do daily activities fairly normally (performance status 0–1)
  • You cannot have certain common gene changes (EGFR, ALK, ROS1, BRAF) unless you already tried the standard targeted treatments for them
