Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be found at screening to be at risk of malnutrition (CNST) and also considered malnourished on SGA B or C
  • Have surgery that is not minor and not laparoscopic (keyhole surgery)
  • Not be pregnant
  • Not have severe overall illness (ASA class III to V)
  • Not have diabetes, and not be planning only comfort/palliative treatment
