Studies transfusion practices in intensive care

Transfusion Related Complication

Part of Blood & lymphatic clinical trials.

NCT07108374Enrolling by invitation
Improving blood transfusion practices in children's ICUs

This study tests whether a new set of guidelines can help doctors and nurses give red blood cell transfusions more consistently in pediatric intensive care. It aims to make transfusion decisions safer and more uniform for children in the ICU.

Platelet transfusion study for ICU patients

This trial tests how a platelet transfusion affects blood vessel function in intensive care patients with low platelet counts (thrombocytopenia). It may help doctors understand if transfusions help the tiny blood vessels work better.

Searching for early signs of lung injury after transfusion in ICU patients

This study looks for early markers in the blood that can predict a serious lung reaction called TRALI after a blood transfusion in ICU patients. It compares blood samples from different groups to find these markers, which could help prevent future reactions.

NCT07509203Not yet recruiting
Smarter transfusions for ICU patients with anemia

This trial tests if using a specific oxygen measurement (ScvO2) helps guide red blood cell transfusions more safely in ICU patients with moderate anemia. It aims to avoid unnecessary transfusions while ensuring enough oxygen reaches your tissues.

AI model for predicting blood transfusions in ICU patients

This study uses artificial intelligence to create a model that predicts which ICU patients might need blood transfusions. By participating, you help improve transfusion decisions for future patients.
