Remote ischemic conditioning for high blood pressure

Essential Hypertension

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests if a simple, non-invasive treatment called remote ischemic conditioning (briefly restricting blood flow to an arm) can safely lower blood pressure in people with essential hypertension. It is for adults aged 30-75 whose blood pressure is consistently high despite standard care.

NCT05845905Recruiting
Remote arm treatment to lower blood pressure in older adults

This study tests whether a simple “remote conditioning” method done on the arm can help lower blood pressure in older adults with hypertension. It may help people whose blood pressure is high but not dangerously high at the time of screening.

NCT03669653Not yet recruiting
Remote arm treatment for acute ischemic stroke patients

This trial tests whether a simple remote “arm conditioning” treatment started soon after an acute ischemic stroke can improve outcomes and safety. It may help some patients recover better by supporting the body’s protective response to stroke.

Remote Ischemic Conditioning for High-Altitude Hypertension

This study tests whether a non-invasive treatment called remote ischemic conditioning—brief cycles of squeezing and releasing blood flow in the arm—can help lower blood pressure in people living at high altitude. The goal is to see if this method works better than standard care alone.

Blood pressure cuff therapy for heart failure patients

This trial tests if a simple, non-invasive blood pressure cuff procedure can improve blood vessel health in people with possible heart failure. It is an early, single-session study to see how the body responds.

Remote arm conditioning and mindfulness for mild high blood pressure

This trial studies whether doing “remote ischemic preconditioning” (repeated brief conditioning of a limb) and mindfulness helps people with mild high blood pressure over the long term. It may help lower blood pressure and improve heart-related health, if you can safely do the required activities.

Remote ischemic preconditioning and blood markers in healthy adults

This study tests whether a simple, non-invasive procedure on your arm can change certain substances in your blood. It may help researchers understand how to protect the body from injury.
