Who can take part

  • You need to be scheduled for an elective brain angiogram (cerebral arteriography).
  • You do not have a known past or current problem with brain venous drainage (like vein blood clots, abnormal blood vessel connections, or idiopathic intracranial hypertension).
  • You should not have severe everyday headaches or symptoms that suggest idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be 35 or lower.
  • You should not have heart failure or pulmonary hypertension.
  • You must not be pregnant during the planned angiogram.
